Bill MacDonald, Dean of Students
Hello Bobcat Families!
I am so excited to be part of the Burk Elementary community. I look forward to meeting all of you and your fabulous students. Until we get that chance, I wanted to tell you a little about myself.
First of all, I am a father to 3 beautiful children (Hanna-9, Billy-6, Daniel-4) and am happily married to my high school sweetheart Ashlee. I enjoy spending most of my free time with my family and playing with my (very energetic) kids, but if I’m not there you can find me on a golf course or at an ASU game.
I received my teaching degree in Music Education from Arizona State University and am a die hard Sun Devil fan. I spent 16 years teaching band (8 in Gilbert) and even coached high school football. I have served as the dean of students at Neely Traditional Academy and Highland Park Elementary. I have also had the privilege of serving as a summer school administrator at both the elementary and secondary levels including being a principal for our district’s summer and intersession Brain Boot Camp programs.
I absolutely love working with families to help teach and guide students to achieve their full potential as lifelong learners and help foster their innate love of learning.
