Life at Burk Elementary: Where Amazing Happens
Life at Burk Elementary: Where Amazing Happens
Burk Elementary

At Burk Elementary, our school community is guided by a shared focus: One School, One Family, One Mission. Our goal every day is to ensure every student feels safe, supported, and encouraged to be kind to one another.
We believe that a great school experience comes from strong relationships between our families, teachers, and staff.
Here is a look at what everyday life looks like on our campus:
- Daily Learning & Activities: In addition to their regular schoolwork, students get to explore creative subjects every single day. They rotate through P.E., Music, Art, and Library. Once students reach the fifth and sixth grades, they can also choose to learn an instrument in band or strings.
- Options for Families: We want school to fit your family’s needs. That is why we offer both Full-Day and Half-Day Kindergarten. We are also proud to host unique programs on our campus, including our Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) classrooms for preschool through sixth grade.
- Clubs and After-School Fun: Learning doesn't stop when the final bell rings. Students have plenty of opportunities to explore their interests and make new friends by joining groups like Lego Robotics, Chess Club, Student Council, or our Running Club.
- School Traditions: Our school community loves to come together for annual events. Some student favorites include Bedtime Story Night - where younger kids wear their pajamas to school to hear stories read by teachers - our annual Turkey Trot run, and the community Fall Festival.
